On the first day of your 3 days Sahara desert trip Morocco from Fes to Marrakech, we'll pick you up early from your accommodation in Fez or the airport. We'll then head south through the Middle Atlas Mountains, making our first stop in Ifrane, known for its clean streets and alpine atmosphere. We will then continue to the cedar forest near Azrou, where Barbary macaques live among the tall trees (it can be fed).

Afterward, we'll continue our journey with a lunch stop in Midelt, known as the "Apple Capital". We'll then cross Tizi n'Talghamt Pass, enjoying the spectacular landscapes of southeastern Morocco, and follow the road along the Ziz Valley, one of Morocco’s most beautiful oasis regions. After that, we will drive to Erfoud, known as the Date Capital, where we will visit a fossil museum.

By late afternoon, we reach Merzouga, where your camel guide will be waiting to begin your camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. You will stop at a high sand dune to watch the beautiful sunset over the desert. After that, we continue to the desert camp where you can sandboarding, have dinner, and enjoy Berber music and dance performances around the campfire. Overnight in a Merzouga Desert Camp under the stars.

Wake up early to witness the most beautiful moments of the desert: the sunrise over the sand dunes. Afterwards, return to your desert camp for a traditional Moroccan breakfast. Then, you will travel back to Merzouga by camel, where your driver will be waiting.

We will continue to Rissani, known for its traditional Souks days and historic atmosphere. You will explore its souk, which is especially lively on certain days of the week (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday), when nomads come to buy and sell their wares. Then, we visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif (optional visit).

Next, we will drive through desert towns and ancient caravan routes, stopping in the village of Melaab, where we will visit a local cooperative to learn about Berber culture and, try on a Berber wedding costume, and experience henna tattooing (optional). After that, we will head to the village of Tinejdad, where we will stop for a break and lunch.

After lunch, we will continue our tour toward Tinghir and stop at the impressive Todra Gorge. This stunning valley, with its towering limestone cliffs reaching up to 320 meters, is located in the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains and a preferred place for mountain climbers. Enjoy a walk between its towering cliffs and palm oasis scenery while sipping Moroccan mint tea by the river.

Afterwards, we will drive to the peaceful Dades Valley, where you will visit the rock formation known as "Monkey's Fingers". Then, your driver will take you to your accommodation for the night. Overnight stay and dinner in Dades.

After breakfaste in your accommodation, we will drive to Rose Valley and Kelâat M'Gouna, known as the Rose Capital, where you will visit a local rose cooperative (optional). If you book your tour during the Rose Festival, you may also have the chance to attend it (usually held in May, depending on the harvest season). After that, we’ll take the Road of 1000 Kasbahs to reach the oasis of Skoura, where you’ll visit Kasbah Amridil.

Next, we will head to Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou, an ancient fortified village and UNESCO World Heritage site, as well as a famous filming location where movies and series such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and Jesus of Nazareth were filmed. After lunch, we continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa” and the “Gateway to the Sahara,” where we will visit Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Film Studios.

Afterward, we will continue our journey and stop along the way at an argan oil cooperative. Then, we will visit the Telouet kasbah, known for its Andalusian architecture and ornate cedar wood ceilings (optional stop). Next, we will pass through the Ounila Valley, enjoying panoramic views of the Valley of Paradise. After that, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains with photo stops along the winding road of Tizi n’Tichka (2,260 meters).

In the late afternoon, we will arrive in Marrakech. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to your accommodation or Marrakech Airport. End of your 3 day tour from Fez to Merzouga desert and Marrakech.
