On the first day of our 5 Day Marrakech to Merzouga desert trip, your driver will pick you up in the morning from the airport or your accommodation in Marrakech and start the journey across the High Atlas Mountains. The road climbs through villages and panoramic viewpoints before reaching Tizi n’Tichka (2,260m).

After that we continue to visit Telouet Kasbah, with its Andalusian architecture and ornate cedar wood ceilings (optional stop). Next, we will head to Ait Ben Haddou, the famous clay ksar and UNESCO World Heritage site, which has been featured in films and television series such as Game of Thrones, Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Babel. You’ll have time to walk through the alleys and take photos before continuing to Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Africa" and the "gateway to the Sahara", with its kasbahs and cinema history (optional stops at Taourirt Kasbah and film Atlas studios).

After lunch in Ouarzazate, we'll take the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs, where we'll see the Kasbah Amridil and pass through the Skoura Oasis and Kelaat M'Gouna, known as the Rose Capital, where you'll visit a local cooperative specializing in rose-based beauty products (optional visit).

In the late afternoon, we'll arrive in the Dades Gorges and we visit the rock formation known as” Monkey Fingers ”and the wavy road of Tisadrine. Then, you’ll be transferred to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night. Dinner and overnight in Dades Valley.

After breakfast in Dades, we continue toward Tinghir and stop at the impressive Todra Gorge. This stunning valley, with its towering limestone cliffs reaching up to 320 meters, is located in the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains and a preferred place for mountain climbers. You’ll have time for a walk between the cliffs and enjoy Moroccan mint tea by the river.

Next, we head to Tinejdad for lunch, then continue our journey to the village of Melaab, where we will visit a local cooperative to learn about Berber culture and try on a Berber wedding costume, and experience henna tattooing (optional). We then drive toward Erfoud, known as the date capital, where we will visit a fossil museum.

In the afternoon, we arrive at the Merzouga desert where you will meet your camel guide and ride camels across the Erg Chebbi dunes to watch the sunset over the desert sands. Then, we continue to the desert camp where you will have dinner and enjoy Berber music and dance performances around the campfire. Overnight in a desert tent under the stars.

Wake up for a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga, a sight not to be missed.; it's well worth it. Then return to your desert camp for a delicious breakfast. After breakfast, travel back to Merzouga by camel, where your driver awaits. we explore the Merzouga region by 4x4. Depending on your mood and timing, the day can include:

• A visit to an ancient eyeliner mine
• Visiting a nomadic family to learn about their way of life over tea and Berber desert pizza in a relaxed and fun atmosphere
• A stop in a village to enjoy Gnaoua music, whose origins trace back to countries like Sudan, Mali, and Chad
• Return to Merzouga for lunch in the late afternoon
• A visit to Lake Merzouga, also known as Lake Flamingo or Tifert (a seasonal lake)
• Visit the green oasis of hassilabied in the heart of the Sahara Desert, and enjoy the sounds of desert birds in the shade of the dense palm trees
• An experience of quad biking or dune buggy riding across the Merzouga sand dunes (optional)

By late afternoon, you’ll return to Merzouga or hassilabied where, we will spend the night in a hotel/riad near the dunes, perfect for a shower, a relaxed dinner, and a good sleep.

After breakfast at your Riad, we return to Marrakech via a different, more scenic route. we head to Rissani, an old caravan town known for its traditional market (best when the souk day matches, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday), where you can see local crafts for sale and visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif.

After that we drive across the black mountains, Jbel Saghro, and enjoy the best views of the grey desert. Then Stop for lunch in Alnif

After lunch, we drive to Nkoub, known as the Kingdom of Kasbahs, and cross the Draa Valley, the longest valley in Morocco. We will walk along its banks, stopping to enjoy stunning panoramic views of palm groves, magnificent kasbahs, and Berber villages. We then arrive in Ouarzazate, where we will transfer you to your accommodation. Dinner and overnight stay in Ouarzazate.

After a traditional Moroccan breakfast, we begin our return journey through the majestic Atlas Mountains, stopping at the Tizi n'Tichka pass for panoramic photos before continuing on.

After that, we pass through Ouarzazate and cross the High Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech, stopping at scenic locations along the way. We arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon and will transfer you to your accommodation or the airport. End of your Morocco Sahara desert tour 5 days.
