Your 3 day desert tour from Marrakech to Zagora begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. We drive through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains, crossing the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m), with stops along the way for photos and mountain views. Next, we will pass through the Ounila Valley, enjoying panoramic views of the Valley of Paradise. After that we will visit the Telouet kasbah, known for its Andalusian architecture and ornate cedar wood ceilings (optional stop). Afterward, we will stop along the way at an argan oil cooperative.

After that, we will drive to Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou, Morocco’s most iconic fortified village and a UNESCO World Heritage site. It has appeared in international films and series such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones, The Mummy, and Alexander. Next, we'll head to Ouarzazate where, we will discover Studio Atlas and the Taourirt Kasbah.

After lunch near Ouarzazate, we'll continue south towards Agdz, crossing Jbel Saghro. Late in the afternoon, we will arrive in Agdz, where you will have the opportunity to watch the sunset from a panoramic viewpoint. then, we will transfer you to your accommodation. Dinner and overnight stay at Agdz.

On the second day of our tour, after breakfast, we continue our journey, stopping in Tamegrout, a small desert village known for its green pottery workshops and historic library. then, we continue toward M’hamid, where the paved road ends and the true Sahara begins. From here, the adventure becomes more remote as we drive off-road across changing desert landscapes: sand dunes, rocky plains, and hidden oases.

By late afternoon, we arrive at the majestic Erg Chigaga Dunes, one of the largest sand dunes in Morocco. A camel guide will meet you to begin your camel ride across the dunes, enjoy the sunset over the desert, and spend a peaceful evening under stars in a desert camp. On the third day of your tour, wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the sand dunes and a calm breakfast at your desert camp. Explore the dunes of the Chegaga desert in a 4x4 vehicle. After that, we begin our return journey through a completely different route, crossing the wide open landscapes of Lake Iriki, a dry desert lake known for its mirages and fossil areas. Along the way, you may see nomadic families.

Upon reaching the village of Foum Zguid, continue your journey to Tazenakht, a town famous for its handwoven Berber carpets. In the afternoon, we drive back through Ouarzazate and cross the High Atlas Mountains once more, arriving in Marrakech by early evening. We will transfer you to your accommodation or the airport.
