3 Days Agadir Desert Tour: Marrakech, desert & Ait Ben Haddou

3 Days

Overview

3 days in Morocco from Agadir. During these three days and two nights, you will visit breathtaking destinations stretching from the Atlantic coast to the High Atlas Mountains and the Merzouga Desert, all in a short period. The trip begins in Agadir, known for its mild climate year-round, especially in winter, and famous for Taghazout Beach. Then we visit Taroudant, nicknamed “Little Marrakech” for its ancient walls and local souks, as well as Taliouine, famous for its saffron (known as “red gold”). We’ll also pass through Taznakht, known for its colorful carpets, then travel through the Atlas Mountains to the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a famous filming location for international movies such as “Gladiator,” “The Mummy,” “Game of Thrones,” and “Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.” It’s also a major tourist center, combining authentic mud-brick architecture with the stunning natural beauty of the Ounila Valley. The journey continues to Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa, where you’ll visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas Film Studios.

Next, we’ll head to the Merzouga Desert, where you’ll experience camel riding across the Erg Chebbi dunes, witness breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, and spend a night in a peaceful desert camp under a clear, starry sky. You’ll also visit the historic Rissani market and the Saghro Mountains before heading to Marrakech via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, concluding your three-day trip from Agadir.
