Overview
This 3-day, 2-night desert tour begins in Ouarzazate, passes through Merzouga, and ends in Marrakech. Along the way, we’ll visit unique locations in southern Morocco. The journey starts in Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” and takes you through stunning valleys, palm oases, and sand dunes before reaching the golden dunes of Merzouga. You’ll visit the Todgha Gorge, then continue your journey into the Merzouga desert, where you’ll experience a camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes and spend a night in a desert camp under the stars, listening to Berber music around a campfire. Afterward, you’ll explore the Merzouga region in a 4×4, visiting a Bedouin family and a traditional village, and enjoying the art of Gnawa music, whose people originate from sub-Saharan African countries such as Mali, Sudan, and Chad. On the final day, we travel through the famous Draa Valley, visit the legendary Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, and cross the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260 meters high) before arriving in Marrakech.
