On the morning of the first day of your 5 days desert tour from Marrakech to Tangier, your driver will pick you up from the airport or your accommodation in Marrakech. We cross the High Atlas Mountains with stops for panoramic viewpoints and photos at Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m). After that, we will pass through the Ounila Valley, enjoying panoramic views of the Valley of Paradise. Then we will visit the Telouet kasbah, known for its Andalusian architecture and ornate cedar wood ceilings (optional stop). Afterward, we will stop along the way at an Argan oil cooperative.

Next, we explore Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou, one of Morocco’s most famous fortified villages, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has appeared in international films and television series such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and Babel.

After lunch, we continue to Ouarzazate, where we will stop to visit the Kasbah Taourirt and the film studios. Then, we drive through Skoura and the Valley of Roses, visiting the historic fortified Kasbah of Amridil. Afterwards, we continue our journey to Kelaat M'gouna, known as the City of Roses, where you will visit a local cooperative specializing in rose-based beauty products (optional stop). In the afternoon, we arrive in the Dades Valley, where you will spend your first night. Overnight stay and dinner are included in the Dades Valley.

After breakfast, we will head to Tinghir and stop at the impressive Todra Gorge. This stunning valley, with its towering limestone cliffs reaching up to 320 meters, is located in the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains and a preferred place for mountain climbers. You’ll have time for a walk between the cliffs and enjoy Moroccan mint tea by the river.

Afterward, we will drive to Tinejdad for lunch, then continue our journey to the village of Melaab, where we will visit a local cooperative to learn about Berber culture and try on a Berber wedding costume, and experience henna tattooing (optional). Then, we will head to Erfoud, known as the date capital, where we will visit a fossil museum.

In the afternoon, we arrive at the Merzouga desert where you will meet your camel guide and ride camels across the Erg Chebbi dunes to watch the sunset over the desert sands. Then, we continue to the desert camp where you will have dinner and enjoy Berber music and dance performances around the campfire. Overnight in a desert tent under the stars.

Wake up for a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga, a sight not to be missed, it's well worth it. Then return to your desert camp for a delicious breakfast. After breakfast, travel back to Merzouga on camelback, where your driver awaits. First, we will visit the traditional Rissani Souks, which is especially lively on certain days of the week (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday), when nomads come to buy and sell their goods, and we will also visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif (optional visit). Afterwards, we will head north toward Fes.

Next, we will cross the Ziz Valley, known for its palm oasis stretching along the valley and its stunning scenery, perfect for taking memorable photos. Then, we will cross the Tizi n'Telghamt Pass. After that, we will drive to Midelt, known as the "Apple Capital", where we will stop for a break and lunch.

After lunch in Midelt, we pass through the Middle Atlas towards the Azrou Cedar Forest, home to Barbary macaques (it can be fed). Afterwards, we'll arrive in Ifrane, known for its alpine-style feel, often called the "Switzerland of Morocco". Late in the afternoon or evening, we will arrive in Fes and drop you off at your accommodation. Dinner and overnight stay in Fez.

After breakfast at your riad in Fes, we continue our 5 days tour from Marrakech to northern Morocco, stopping in Meknes, one of the ancient imperial cities, to visit its most important landmarks and historical sites. We will visit the historic Bab El Mansour Laalej, built in the 18th, as well as the historic Lahdim Square (similar to Jemaa El-Fna Square in Marrakech), where snake charmers and dancers perform. Then, we will visit the Dar Eljamîi Museum.

After lunch in Meknes, we will head to Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest archaeological sites in Morocco, dating back to the 3rd century BC, where, we will explore Roman ruins such as the triumphal arches, mosaics, the Capitoline Temple, the court, and the public square.

Afterwards, we will drive through the Rif Mountains, with their lush green vegetation, where you can enjoy the scenery, panoramic views, and stop to take photos. In the late afternoon, we will arrive in Chefchaouen, known as the Blue City, where you will have plenty of time to wander its blue streets, shop, take photos, and visit local artisan workshops if you wish. Dinner and overnight stay in a riad in Chefchaouen.

After breakfast in the Blue City, we continue our tour through the majestic Rif Mountains, enjoying breathtaking scenery. Then, we stop in Akchour, a mountainous region boasting towering peaks and enchanting waterfalls. Here, you can visit the waterfalls and "Jisr Allah" (Bridge of God), a unique natural rock formation resembling a bridge. Enjoy the surrounding natural beauty, the sound of flowing water, and take memorable photos.

Afterward, we continue our tour to Tangier, where we will visit the Caves of Hercules and Cape Spartel, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. Then, your driver will then transfer you to the airport or your accommodation. Ends of your 5 Days Marrakech to Tangier Desert Tour
